Claus Woschenko, born on March 13, 1979 in Preetz (Plön district), came into contact with music of very different styles and genres at an early age through the radio and the brass band. He wrote his first small compositions as a child, mainly for brass instruments. He is a self-taught composer and places a particular focus of his work on sacred choral music (Missa brevis «Et in Terra Pax» for 12-part mixed choir (2018-2019), Mass for male voices (2020), «De hillige Nacht». A North German Christmas Oratorio for soli, choir, orchestra and organ (2023, Heinrichshofen & Noetzel)), but also writes solo and chamber music (Forest for 4 horns (2021, Heinrichshofen & Noetzel), Variations of an own theme for guitar (2024)), as well as orchestral (Little Overture for orchestra (2020), Plöner Wassermusik (2021), Concert for Peace for trumpet, string quartet and string orchestra (2023)) and stage works (Die Rabe (2019-2020), Vom König, der auszog (2022, Bühnenverlag Weitendorf GmbH)).
