JoÒo Guilherme Ripper is a Brazilian composer and conductor, as well as a professoráof music at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.áAmong his teachers were Henrique Morelenbaum and Ronaldo Miranda.áRipper is the president of the Brazilian Academy of Music. His compositional oeuvre includes works for orchestra, chamber ensembles, operas, as well as solo and vocal music.
