Liduino Pitombeira is a Brazilian composer and painter. He holds a PhD in composition from Louisiana State University, USA. His works have been performed ensembles including the Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet and the Louisiana Sinfonietta. Pitombeira is a professor of composition at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. His compositional oeuvre spans several works for orchestra, chamber music, solo works, as well as electroacoustic works.
