Werner Jaegerhuber was a Haitian composer and son of a German immigrant father. From 1915 to 1922 he studied at the former Voigt Conservatory in Hamburg, Germany. He returned to Haiti in 1937. His compositional work includes classical music and opera. His interest in folk music has made him an important figure in Haitian folkloric music.
