Ysaÿe loved to quote Bach in his sonatas. In his homage to Ysaÿe, Garth Knox used motifs from the Baroque master as well as themes from Ysaÿe himself. The three movements form a cycle, but can also be performed separately - especially the concluding virtuoso Moto Perpetuo.
